This role is responsible for processing orders and patient charges accurately and in a timely manner. The Unit Clerk CNA will answer the telephone and call lights, providing information or relaying messages to patients and staff, and directing visitors to patient rooms. This position maintains medical records of current patients, manages supplies (scanning, stocking, ordering, and disposing of expired/damaged items), and provides patient care as assigned according to standards of care and CNA job duties. The role also involves documenting care provided, maintaining a clean work and patient environment, floating to various units as needed, and participating in performance improvement activities. Additional duties include verifying charge accuracy, facilitating a welcoming environment, assembling patient folders and charts, and setting up communication systems for new staff.
