About The Position

This role is responsible for processing orders and patient charges accurately and efficiently. The Unit Clerk CNA will answer telephones and call lights promptly, providing information or relaying messages. They will direct visitors, maintain medical records, and manage unit supplies, including scanning, stocking, ordering, and disposing of expired items. Additionally, the position involves providing patient care as assigned, documenting care provided, and maintaining a clean work and patient environment. The role may require floating to various units based on identified needs and participating in performance improvement activities. Responsibilities also include verifying charge accuracy, facilitating a welcoming environment for visitors, and assembling patient folders and charts. Setup for new staff includes Rauland responder/Vocera/versus.

Requirements

Completion of a CNA program.
Completion of a Unit Clerk course or equivalent on the job training (which can be provided).
Nursing Assistant Certification in applicable state.
Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.
