The Unit Associate is responsible for performing clerical functions for a patient care unit, facilitating the flow of information between medical and nursing staff to maximize unit efficiency. This role acts as a resource person between ancillary departments and the patient care unit, and utilizes the hospital-wide computer system for order entry, admission, transfer, and discharge functions (ADT).
