Unit Associate, Full-Time, Day Shift
About The Position
The Unit Associate greets and directs visitors, prepares and maintains medical records, responds to patient requests for assistance, and provides information to patients, families, and physicians. The role also provides clerical support to the nursing team. Essential duties include processing orders, assisting unit visitors and callers, tracking patient admission and transfer flow, scheduling patient procedures, assembling patient charts, maintaining ongoing data, and supporting regulatory environmental compliance by clearing hallways and calling for equipment pickup as needed. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy is required.
- All required vaccinations must be received as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.
Nice To Haves
- High school education, GED, or equivalent.
- Associate's or technical degree, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- One year of relevant experience.
- Hospital or medical office experience.
- Unit Secretary training course.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
Responsibilities
