About The Position

Stella Maris, a leader in eldercare for nearly 70 years, is seeking a Unit Aide to join their team. The organization is inspired by the Sisters of Mercy and aims to provide excellent clinical and residential services within a community of compassionate care. This is an entry-level opportunity to join the healthcare field.

Responsibilities

Assist with resident care by providing unit-based services that do not require certification.
Assist with resident food and hydration by passing trays, providing fresh water in rooms, providing hands-on dining assistance and overseeing the operations of the dining room at mealtimes.
Assist with resident transportation by providing internal and out of the facility escort services as needed.
Attend to resident personal clothing by performing laundry services, cleaning closets/dressers/drawers, labelling items as necessary.
Attend to unit environmental needs by making unoccupied beds, keeping linen rooms/carts neat and orderly, keeping nourishment refrigerator clean and orderly, re-stocking supplies in residents rooms as needed.
Assist with reducing clutter in resident rooms.
