About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Porter / Yard Worker. The Yard Associate stations and retrieves equipment on the location's property, maintains a written maintenance schedule, and may service equipment as necessary to ensure it meets specifications. The associate also inspects equipment before and after rental to document lost or damaged equipment. This is a safety-focused role in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively with customers, both orally and in writing.
• Perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Demonstrate general mechanical aptitude and a safety-focused approach.
• Meet the physical demands of bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools.
• Some experience and/or training in mechanical equipment repair.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language), which may be required based on location needs.
