About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Porter / Yard Worker. The Yard Associate stations and retrieves equipment on the location’s property, maintains a written maintenance schedule, and may service equipment as necessary to ensure it meets specifications. The role also inspects equipment before and after rental to document lost or damaged equipment. This position offers work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, with opportunities to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with customers in writing and orally.
Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
General mechanical aptitude.
Safety-focused approach.
Ability to meet physical demands including bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Experience with common construction and industrial tools.
Experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment.
Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language, which may be required based on location needs.
