About The Position

JLL is seeking a Facilities Utility Engineer to perform repairs and maintenance on various building systems and equipment. This role involves a range of tasks from plumbing and electrical fixture maintenance to general cleaning and minor repairs. The engineer will work under the direction of the Chief Engineer and must adhere to Local 39 work practices. This position is on-site in San Jose, CA, and does not offer visa sponsorship. Responsibilities

Repairs on toilet facilities, including soap dispensers
Repairs on registers and radiators
Replacement of lamps and cleaning of light fixtures
Removing ceiling tile
Minor repairs on furniture and floors
Maintaining and/or replacing door hardware
Repair of floor maintenance equipment and venetian blinds
Maintenance painting in equipment rooms, cooling towers, and other building facilities
Replacement of air filters in HVAC equipment
General cleaning in mechanical spaces and perimeter induction units
Cleanup of equipment in engine rooms and shop areas
Miscellaneous handy work requiring limited use of hand tools
Replacement of fire extinguishers as needed
Cleaning of air vents and roof drains
Perform additional duties, training, and special assignments as directed by the Chief Engineer consistent with operational needs and Local 39 work practices
