About The Position
The District Council is seeking a dependable and organized Part-Time Union Secretary to support daily office operations in the Youngstown area. This is a part-time position offering consistent hours and the opportunity to support the work of a strong union organization.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of standard office software (Microsoft Office, email, etc.)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Prior administrative or office experience
- Familiarity with union environments or construction trades
Responsibilities
- Answering phones and directing calls
- Assisting members and visitors in a professional manner
- Maintaining records and filing systems
- Preparing basic correspondence and reports
- Processing and making union dues deposits
- Supporting union leadership with administrative tasks
