About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic Trainee to join their team. This entry-level position is for a motivated individual who wants to learn the mechanic trade. The Mechanic Trainee will perform light mechanic and preventative maintenance work under supervision and go through a structured training program on various equipment, including onboard diagnostics. This role is designed to prepare individuals for a career as a mechanic or road mechanic.

Requirements

• 0 to 1 years’ experience with similar equipment strongly preferred.
• Current enrollment, certification or degree from accredited trade program strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn and comprehend complex equipment repairs.
• Self-starter that is internally motivated to achieve success.
• Safety-focused.
• Customer service attitude and flexibility to meet competing priorities.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform light mechanic and preventative maintenance work under close supervision.
• Participate in a structured training program to expand skill sets on a variety of equipment.
• Learn to work with onboard diagnostics.
