About The Position

Arrow Sanitary, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Union CDL Driver who is safety driven to join the team in Portland, Oregon. This position utilizes either a Semi-Automated Side Load Recycle Truck, Front End Truck, or Roll-Off Truck. The role involves performing a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading, sometimes without helpers, and servicing a significant number of customer carts daily. The driver will also be responsible for performing routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, operating hydraulic controls, and interacting courteously with customers. Waste Connections is an integrated solid waste services company focused on providing collection, transfer, disposal, and recycling services. Requirements

Valid Class A or Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement REQUIRED.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
Minimum 2-years of route driving experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Utilize Semi-Automated Side Load Recycle Truck, Front End Truck, or Roll-Off Truck.
Perform physically demanding job including loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load recycle containers at designated facilities.
Interact courteously with customers.
Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
