About The Position

The Uniforms Manager is responsible for the ordering, bidding, distribution, pricing, storing, and issuing of uniforms within the Resort. This role ensures all employee uniforms are fitted and altered correctly, assists staff with uniform inquiries, and manages the inventory of both new and used uniforms. The manager also identifies and disposes of dead stock, maintains the cleanliness and organization of the Uniform Warehouse and Tailor Shop, and coordinates bi-yearly physical inventory. Additionally, this position supervises a team of two non-exempt employees and ensures all warehouse items are managed according to standard operating procedures. The role involves regular contact with vendors and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years direct supervisory or lead management experience in a Uniform Warehouse for a purchasing department at a large plant operation of a hotel/resort.
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
Requires reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.

Responsibilities

Ordering, receiving, distribution, pricing, storing, and issuing of all uniform goods.
Ensuring all employees and managers uniforms are fitted and altered in a timely fashion.
Assisting Managers and all staff with any uniform inquiries.
Receiving and inventory of used uniforms for re-issuance.
Identifying dead stock quantities, assigning values, and finding viable options for disposal.
Ensuring the Uniform Warehouse and Tailor Shop are kept clean and organized.
Coordinating bi-yearly physical inventory of the Uniforms Department and producing relevant reports.
Supervising staff of 2 non-exempt employees.
Storing, labeling, and issuing uniform warehouse items according to standard operating procedures.
Checking daily requisitions and assisting the seamstress when needed.
Performing other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors/managers.
