About The Position

The ideal candidate is responsible for ordering, bidding, distribution, pricing, storing and issuing of uniforms within the Resort. This role involves managing all aspects of the uniform supply chain, ensuring timely fitting and alteration of uniforms, and assisting staff with inquiries. The position also includes inventory management of both new and used uniforms, identifying and disposing of dead stock, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the Uniform Warehouse and Tailor Shop. A key responsibility is coordinating bi-yearly physical inventory and generating reports. The role also involves supervising a team of two non-exempt employees and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures for storage, labeling, and issuance of uniform items. The Uniforms Manager will also handle daily requisitions and provide assistance to the seamstress as needed, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years direct supervisory or lead management experience in a Uniform Warehouse for a purchasing department at a large plant operation of a hotel/resort.
  • Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
  • Must maintain a drug-free workplace and pass pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Responsibilities

  • Ordering, receiving, distribution, pricing, storing and issuing of all uniform goods.
  • Ensuring all employees and managers uniforms are fitted and altered in a timely fashion.
  • Assisting Managers and all staff with any uniform inquiries.
  • Receiving and inventory of used uniforms, to be re-issued to future employees.
  • Identifying dead stock quantities, assigning values, and finding viable options for the disposal of these goods (i.e. returns, trade in for alternate styles, and/or sizes, donations, and liquidations).
  • Ensuring the Uniform Warehouse and Tailor Shop are kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Coordinating bi-yearly physical inventory of the Uniforms Department and produce relevant reports in a timely manner.
  • Supervising staff of 2 non-exempt employees.
  • Ensuring uniform warehouse items are stored, labeled, and issued according to standard operating procedures.
  • Checking on daily requisitions, and assisting the seamstress when needed.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors/managers.
