This role manages all aspects of the care and of staff uniform. Work with the dry-cleaning vendor to ensure that all items are taken care of according to brand standards, fit repair and alter uniforms when needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of sewing, measurements, pressing and finishing of both guest and staff garments.

Responsibilities

• Fit, repair, or alter uniforms.
• Pay close attention to the type of fabrics and the general construction.
• Responsible for constructing uniforms accordingly.
• Complete clothing alterations.
• Make repairs and altering material items.
• Ensure all sewing supplies required are available at all times.
• Assists uniform attendants in sorting out uniform according to repairs to be done.
• Assist in arranging uniforms for employees.
• Inform Wardrobe Manager of any damages or missing items in the tailoring room.
• Operate the embroidery machine as per set instructions and to maintain the machine in good order.
• Execute tailoring jobs.
• Carry out a minor repair on room and F&B linen in order to prolong the life of linen.
• Checks all the staff uniform if any damaged or button to be change.
• Performs timely repairs on all items of uniform and linen.
• Measures make or alter uniforms for new employees.
• Ensures that all linen and uniforms are repaired before issuing to employees.
• Assist the supervisor in monthly hotel uniform inventory.
• Cleans and maintains uniform room equipment.
• Assumes other duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Collect and issue uniforms.
• Assist in the pickup and delivery process of the hotel’s linen and terry.
• Weigh and inventory of carts and track discarded materials.
• Conduct monthly uniform and laundry inventories.
