SAIC has an opening for an experienced Unified Communications (UC) Engineer (SETA) in Chantilly, VA to assist a government customer in overseeing a global voice and video enterprise deployment, encompassing Unified Communications (UC), Mission Critical Conferencing System (MCCS), and a broad portfolio of collaboration technologies including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Jabber, MeetMe, Microsoft Teams, and other VoIP/VTC platforms. The successful applicant will serve as a senior technical advisor to the government, providing oversight of current technology deployments, identifying opportunities for improvement, and formulating strategic roadmaps for next-generation technology delivery, to include the integration of secure cloud-based collaboration platforms with existing on-premises UC infrastructure. This includes assisting the government with overseeing the design, implementation, and on-going support of enterprise-level voice and video solutions implemented by a variety of service provider contracts. Applicants must exhibit flexibility in task execution, provide technical expertise on a variety of Systems Engineering topics (e.g., requirements, service readiness, UC architecture, cloud integration, etc.) to deliver continuity of effort, demonstrate value-added judgment, and advise the government on Service Portfolio Management (i.e., cost, schedule, and performance) related program activities. The successful candidate will produce recommendations and deliverables (i.e., presentations, white papers, statements of work, technology roadmaps, etc.) in a thorough, practicable, and consistent manner congruent with the organization's objectives associated with IT infrastructure provisioning.
