About The Position

The Unibody Operator works as part of a two-person team assembling encased coil-type mattress units. The operator attaches the sides, ends, and bottom to the encased coil unit using a glue gun and/or hog rings, installs FR socks on hybrid-style units, and may perform other duties assigned by the supervisor. The role also involves moving mattresses between a worktable and a cart, gluing toppers and side rails to units, maintaining a clean work area, following safety procedures, and refilling the glue pot as needed. The operator must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
• Ability to handle and lift mattresses frequently.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble encased coil-type mattress units by attaching sides, ends, and bottoms using a glue gun and/or hog rings.
• Install FR socks on hybrid-style units and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Move mattresses on and off the worktable and onto a cart.
• Glue toppers and side rails to units.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow proper safety procedures.
• Refill the glue pot as needed throughout the day.
