Requirements

  • Demonstrated professional experience as underwriter, at least 5 years of experience.
  • Approval limit $3,000,000 to $5,000,000 in life insurance and $250,000 in critical illness insurance.
  • Be on the lookout for trends and changes in medicine, knowledge of human anatomy, medical terminology, diseases, tests, and modes of treatment.
  • General awareness of current events, industry issues and trends.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to define, research and solve problems.
  • Excellent mentoring skills.
  • Exemplary customer service skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.
  • A university or college degree in a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • You are continuously learning – currently enrolled or very interested in insurance-related courses such as LOMA and/or ALU courses.
