Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in benefits and / or related industries would be preferred.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • Understanding of group benefits and administrative sales support function is an asset.
  • Superior organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and be self-reliant, while having a focus first and foremost on the success of the team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing responsibilities and business environment and ability to do so with strong attention to detail.
  • Passionate, have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn new tasks and teach internal partners and your teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor monthly renewal activity and gather information required to prepare for upcoming renewals.
  • Request the preparation of required standard reports from the OSA.
  • Follow-up regarding renewal report with Account Managers and ensure timely delivery of reports once approved for distribution.
  • Manage renewal database and update status of activity from start to finish.
  • File renewal and supporting documentation.
  • Manage the loading of financial information on Advantage for renewals, plan changes, and new business.
  • Prepare EP3 statements for all applicable clients.
  • Provide support for the monthly Claims in Excess review.
  • Prepare ASO reconciliations and Transfer ASO deposit calculations in coordination with the Accounting Department.
  • Assist in improving departmental processes to meet departmental/company objectives.
  • Manage the Group Underwriting Quote Mailbox.
  • Manage the Group Underwriting Assistant Mailbox.
  • Provide administrative support as required.
