About The Position

Provide support to Underwriting by qualifying accounts according to HSB guidelines. Research property locations for prior coverage and losses, assign occupancies to locations using established performance standards that are responsive to marketing, underwriting, retention and services goals. Focus on special handling and highly serviceable accounts (HAS), including hospitals, municipalities and colleges. Take inbound phone calls and communicating with brokers/agencies, customers and internal departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Experience in providing exceptional customer experience and handling customer escalations.
  • Experience with internet research.
  • Excellent data entry, telephone and PC skills.
  • Familiar with MS Office Suite.
  • Proficient in Excel with the ability to create, format, calculate and report.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and ensure assignments are delivered on time.
