About The Position

We are looking for a highly capable Underwriting Assistant to support our Tax Liability team. This position will provide support and assistance to the overall underwriting function through maintaining policies and procedures, processing underwriting transactions, data research and analysis, and other various tasks, as needed. This role will work onsite 5x per week from our New York City, NY office location.

Able to work autonomously, proactively and able to work with limited supervision and in team environments
College degree required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Professional, ability to maintain a positive working relationship
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

Responsibilities

Assist underwriters in carrying out their essential duties and responsibilities to enhance the overall performance of the division through utilization of systems and guidelines.
Maintain accurate and complete underwriting files and records.
Prepare binders and policies for underwriters’ review and approval.
Interact with brokers to assist with invoicing, follow up for underlying information, subjectivities as well as addressing account inquiries.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with underwriters, brokers and business partners.
Other duties as assigned.
