About The Position

AgWest Farm Credit is seeking a current college student interested in a career in financial services for a full-time, 10-12 week summer internship. The Underwriting Analyst Intern will work at the Spokane, Washington (Headquarters) location. This role provides a realistic job preview and insights into career opportunities at AgWest, focusing on credit underwriting, model risk management, and data analytics. The intern will be assigned a coach, a research project, and a learning guide to explore various positions and business areas. The internship is expected to run from approximately June through August.

Requirements

Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, data analytics, economics, math, business, or related field
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to research complex topics and design analysis methodologies
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
Proof of authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Experience using data analysis tools and computer programming such as R/RStudio, Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel, or other data analysis tools
