About The Position

AgWest Farm Credit is seeking a current college student interested in a career in financial services for an Underwriting Analyst Intern position. This internship offers a realistic job preview and insights into career opportunities at AgWest, focusing on credit underwriting, model risk management, and data analytics. The intern will be assigned a coach, a research project, and a learning guide to explore various business areas. This is a full-time, 10-12 week summer internship, typically from June through August, located at the Spokane, Washington (Headquarters) office.

Requirements

Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, data analytics, economics, math, business, or related field
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to research complex topics and design analysis methodologies
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

Nice To Haves

Experience using data analysis tools and computer programming such as R/RStudio, Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel, or other data analysis tools

Responsibilities

Gain insights into credit underwriting, model risk management, and data analytics.
Work with a designated coach and complete an individual research project.
Be exposed to a variety of positions and areas within the business.
