About The Position

LendSure Mortgage Corp is hiring a full-time Non-QM Underwriter. The role involves making credit decisions on incoming applicants in accordance with internal policies, underwriting mortgage commitments, verifying supporting documentation submitted by Mortgage Brokers, and meeting service level agreements. The position is preferred onsite at either the Warwick, Rhode Island, or Kennesaw, Georgia office; remote applicants on the East Coast will also be considered. The successful candidate will use knowledge of real estate lending, loan structuring, valuation methodologies, borrower financials, credit risk, and KYC/AML compliance to evaluate loans and mitigate risk. The role requires reviewing complex tax returns and loan documentation, handling a high daily loan volume, working with minimal supervision, and communicating and collaborating effectively with colleagues and a supervisor. Tools mentioned include Encompass, Salesforce, and Excel.

Requirements

Knowledge of real estate lending and loan structuring.
Knowledge of valuation methodologies.
Knowledge of borrower financials, credit risk, and KYC/AML compliance.
Proficiency with Encompass, Salesforce, and Excel.
Ability to review complex tax returns.
Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision and engage with a supervisor to resolve complicated issues.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time-management and organizational skills to handle a high daily loan volume.
Detail-oriented team player who can collaborate constructively with fellow employees.
Minimum 5 years of recent experience underwriting non-conforming residential mortgage loans.
Minimum 5 years of experience with state and federal lending regulations, including Ability to Repay, RESPA, Regulation B, Regulation Z, and Fair Lending.
