About The Position

LendSure Mortgage Corp is hiring a full-time Non-QM Underwriter. The position is preferably onsite at either the Warwick, Rhode Island, or Kennesaw, Georgia office; remote applicants on the East Coast will also be considered. The underwriter renders credit decisions on incoming applicants in accordance with internal policies, underwrites mortgage commitments, verifies supporting documentation submitted by Mortgage Brokers, and supports service-level agreements. The role requires knowledge of real estate lending and loan structuring, valuation methodologies, borrower financials, credit risk, and KYC/AML compliance. The underwriter reviews complex loan documentation, including tax returns, and works under minimal supervision while consulting with a supervisor on complicated issues. The role involves managing a high daily loan volume and collaborating with colleagues. The stated salary range is $68,500 to $90,000, with a quarterly discretionary bonus plan. Requirements

At least 5 years of recent experience underwriting non-conforming residential mortgage loans.
At least 5 years of experience with state and federal lending regulations, including Ability to Repay, RESPA, Regulation B, Regulation Z, and Fair Lending.
Knowledge of real estate lending and loan structuring.
Knowledge of valuation methodologies.
Ability to review complex tax returns.
Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision and engage with a supervisor to resolve complicated issues.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented and able to collaborate constructively as a team player.
Familiarity with real estate markets, borrower financials, credit risk, and KYC/AML compliance.
Proficiency with Encompass, Salesforce, and Excel.
