About The Position

Pro Financial Services (PFS), part of NFP, an Aon company, is seeking an experienced insurance professional to manage underwriting activities across a specialized and varied book of business. The Underwriter reviews submissions, communicates with brokers, develops quotes, binds coverage, and works with Account Managers to ensure policy documentation accurately reflects the agreed risk. The role evaluates coverage involving individuals and organizations whose financial results may depend on the availability or performance of key people, assessing exposures, benefit amounts, pricing inputs, and underwriting requirements. PFS provides specialized coverage designed to protect individuals’ income and help organizations manage financial loss when a key person cannot perform. The successful candidate combines sound insurance judgment with strong communication, mathematical reasoning, and attention to detail. The position requires moving between broader business context and individual file details, working directly with brokers, and taking increasing ownership while learning PFS products and underwriting methods. Accident & Health experience is preferred but not required; candidates with transferable Property & Casualty, specialty insurance, program underwriting, or advanced underwriting-support experience are encouraged to apply. The hired candidate must obtain an Accident & Health insurance license within the first year of employment if they do not already have one. The role requires the ability to sit at a computer for long periods. NFP offers a competitive salary, PTO and paid holidays, a 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health and wellness programs, and potential performance-based incentives. The stated base salary range is $120,000–$140,000, with the actual offer determined case by case based on factors including experience, credentials, education, certifications, skills, scope, and geographic location.
