As a Mortgage Underwriter III, you will be responsible for underwriting Government and Conventional loans by reviewing the credit, capacity, and collateral characteristics of loan files to ensure they meet company and investor quality standards. This includes reviewing and clearing underwriting conditions on Conventional and Government loans in compliance with current guidelines and overlays, and managing an individual pipeline daily by completing Underwriting Reviews, appraisal reviews, and conditions reviews within defined turn times. You will also identify document deficiencies, add applicable conditions, request additional information from customers, and contact customers to provide updates and clarification. Additionally, you will assist others in the department with interpreting underwriting guidelines and updating underwriting status, and perform independent research of guidelines and overlays.
