As a Mortgage Underwriter III, you will be responsible for underwriting Government and Conventional loans by reviewing the credit, capacity, and collateral characteristics of loan files to ensure they meet company and investor quality standards. This includes reviewing and clearing underwriting conditions on Conventional and Government loans in compliance with current guidelines and overlays. You will manage an individual pipeline daily, completing Underwriting Reviews, appraisal reviews, and conditions reviews within defined turn times. Your role also involves identifying document deficiencies, adding applicable conditions, and requesting additional information or documentation from customers as needed, as well as contacting customers to provide updates and clarification on outstanding conditions. You will assist others in the department with interpreting underwriting guidelines and updating underwriting status, and perform independent research of guidelines and overlays.
