The Position Arch Re Fac’s Underwriters are members of a team spanning the United States, Canada and Europe focused on developing strong, mutually beneficial business relationships with primary insurance company underwriters and brokers . This position will require some domestic travel, approximately 15%.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years property insurer or reinsurer underwriting experience
• Bachelor’s degree (ideally with a degree/major in Risk Management, Economics, or Business) or equivalent training required
• Sound Computer/Technology skills

• Proven ability to work as part of a team
• Demonstrated customer-service focus coupled with strong negotiation skills
• Strong Property Underwriting Acumen including an understanding of coverage, risk hazards and policy forms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Desire for continued learning
• Additional industry-specific study and designations (such as CPCU, ARe) a plus

Responsibilities

• Developing client relationships and submission flow
• Underwriting and negotiating transactions
