Requirements

Proven expertise in the insurance sector, specifically in underwriting, with a successful track record of managing and assessing risks.
Hands-on experience working with Brokers and the ability to build strategic relationships to drive business outcomes and targets.
Customer-focused mindset and the ability to partner with internal stakeholders (i.e. Sales and Claims) to support positive customers outcomes and problem solving.
A team player, who is collaborative and will share their expertise and knowledge for a best practice customer experience.

Responsibilities

Underwriting motor insurance risks, for a panel of Brokers ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and standards.
Manage the efficient turnaround of quotations, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with customers and service providers, including reinsurers.
Resolution and ownership of problem solving including following through with resolutions and having open communication with Brokers.
Ensure all enquiries, complaints, opportunities are responded to quickly and effectively
Align business offering with divisional objectives, portfolio balance and Cycle Management strategies.
Ensure adherence to industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.
Keep up to date with industry best practices by participating in business related industry forms and working groups.
