About The Position

At MasTec Communications Group, the Underground Foreman supports all phases of utility construction for various types of telecommunications projects. The role involves building, repairing, and maintaining construction projects; working at outdoor utility construction sites; troubleshooting field problems; and managing all aspects of job-site construction. The Foreman also trains and coaches crew members on tools and equipment while helping deliver high-quality work safely.

Requirements

Enjoy working hands-on with a team.
Knowledge of the telecom construction industry, including coax splicing, fiber splicing, directional drilling, and aerial and underground construction.

Responsibilities

Support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects.
Build, repair, and maintain projects using construction knowledge and skills.
Work at outdoor utility construction sites.
Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field.
Train the crew on various tools and equipment.
Operate backhoes, dozers, cable plows, air compressors, trenchers, hydraulic reel trailers, and other machinery.
Manage all aspects of job-site construction.
Coach and mentor the team.
