About The Position

The Company B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. Position Underground Production Miner – II, Nunavut Location and Reporting Structure Reporting to the Supervisor, Underground Production, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Requirements

Four (4) years of underground production mining experience with demonstrated proficiency in loading, timing, and blasting activities.
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid blasting ticket in a Canadian jurisdiction.
Valid First Aid certification.
Strong safety mindset with the ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work independently or within a team environment

Responsibilities

Load, time, and blast production and development areas accurately using appropriate equipment and products.
Read, interpret, and follow engineering prints, layouts, and all loading, timing, and blasting instructions.
Complete pre- and post-operational inspections of work areas and equipment, reporting deficiencies to the Supervisor.
Perform pre- and post-blast activities, including preparing blast holes and ensuring safe execution of blasting tasks.
Support underground production activities, including mucking, haulage, mine services installations, and recognizing and responding to ground conditions.
Follow directions, maintain safe work practices and housekeeping standards, and report shift activities to the Supervisor in collaboration with the team.
