About The Position

The Company B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. Position Underground Production Miner - II, Nunavut Location and Reporting Structure Reporting to the Supervisor, Underground Production, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Requirements

Four (4) years of underground production mining experience with a demonstrated high level of proficiency in relevant tasks;
Demonstrated portfolio of competency with cable bolter; experience with Sandvik cable bolters is highly desirable;
Valid First Aid certificate;
An approval letter from the Explosives Regulatory Division (ERD) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Operate cable bolter efficiently and accurately to drill, install, and grout long stope and intersection support. Ensure cable bolter is cleaned thoroughly after each use and consistently maintained in operational condition.
Complete thorough pre/post-operational inspections of equipment, reporting deficiencies or damage to the Supervisor.
Read, understand, and follow engineering prints and layouts;
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the underground mine;
Take direction from Underground Supervisors and collaborate with the supporting teams in a respectful manner.
Perform or assist with many other aspects of underground production mining including, but not limited to: Pre and post blast inspections, Stope loading, timing, and blasting according to design, Production mucking and haulage, Mine services installations, Recognizing ground conditions and following protocol when poor ground conditions are encountered, Accurate and timely reporting of shift details to the Supervisor
