Requirements

Accreditation of basic common core
Accreditation of specialty common core
Ability to comprehend engineering prints
Self – motivated, ability to work alone
Strong Safety focus
7 years plus underground mining experience

Responsibilities

Complete workplace inspection and document on 5 Point Card
Lead loading crew to work safely and efficiently and maintain accurate logbook entries along with daily work reports
Loading longhole blasts as per engineered print
Preparation of stopes and cleaning holes as necessary
Able to program and troubleshoot Ikon detonators
Safely blow pipe work area
Safely and efficiently operate Orica Loading Equipment
Safely and efficiently operate Kubota backhoe
Contribute to and establish effective workplace relationships
All other duties as assigned
