The Foreman leads, mentors, and monitors the installation of water and wastewater piping and equipment, ensuring work meets Clark Construction standards and project specifications. The role is responsible for crew productivity, quality control, labor costs, scheduling, safety, material acquisition, and other activities that contribute to successful project completion. The Foreman may also perform hands-on installation when necessary. The Foreman manages jobsite crews, interprets construction drawings, directs piping and support installation, coordinates work to meet schedules and customer quality expectations, and validates piping systems through pressure testing. The position also involves operating and supervising equipment, enforcing safety and work-hour requirements, preparing daily progress reports and weekly look-ahead schedules, evaluating crew performance, and training and mentoring team members. This is a physically demanding construction-site role involving outdoor work in varying and potentially extreme weather; uneven terrain; heights and confined spaces; and exposure to heavy equipment, construction traffic, noise, dust, fumes, particles, vibration, and potential electrical hazards. The role frequently requires more than 40 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
