About The Position
S.A. Comunale is seeking an Underground Operator. The primary function of this position is to coordinate and direct Underground Laborers as well as any necessary duties to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Underground Department. This position works closely with the Project Managers, field manpower, and Sales Representatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes/front loaders and skid steer loaders is required.
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card is required.
- A valid driver’s license with a clear driving record is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in underground utility excavation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate necessary equipment for the installation of underground utilities.
- Coordinate and dispatch crews to job sites.
- Estimate jobs for Sales Representatives.
- Turn in payroll for all Underground Laborers.
- Provide purchase orders to Underground Laborers or other personnel when necessary.
- Work in coordination with Project Managers to ensure job is completed correctly and efficiently.
- Must be willing to travel to required job sites.
