Reporting to the Foreman, the Underground Dozer Operators support our deep utility projects across Alberta. Requirements

• 2+ years experience operating a dozer in an underground environment
• 2+ years experience within deep utilities (water, sewer, storm) environment
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
• Willing to travel and work out of town for short, fixed-term periods, as needed
• Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing and Fit for Work Testing will be required.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment
• Backfill and grade around installed water, sewer, and storm systems
• Operate dozer safely and efficiently to meet project specifications
• Maintain proper compaction and protect underground infrastructure
• Read grade stakes and follow hand signals to achieve finished grade
• Adjust operating techniques based on soil conditions and site requirements
• Conduct daily pre-operational inspections, fueling, and maintenance
• Work closely with foreman and underground crews to keep projects on schedule
• Maintain strong awareness of surroundings while working in active construction environments
