About The Position

This is a permanent position for an Underground Miner class 1 – Extraction (Scoop) with a code of MI26-48. The hourly rate is $47.01. The work location is in Nunavik, with a work schedule of 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off. During the work period, the schedule is 77 hours per week, 7 days a week. The deadline to apply is September 2nd, 2026.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience on both manual and remote-controlled shuttle loaders.
• Completion of mining modules FMTM 1 to 5, 7, and 10.
• Possession of a general explosives permit.
• Valid driver's license.
• Adaptability.
• Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Holding a Class 1 driver's license.
• Having good knowledge of preventive mechanics.
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks safely and efficiently.
• Operating the shuttle loader in remote mode.
• Installation of a remote-controlled operating platform.
• Taking ore samples.
• Operating a production truck.
• Performing related tasks as per operational needs.
