About The Position

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Instrumentation Process Control Technician to join the Portal Mines Underground Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Underground Instrumentation Supervisor, the technician performs instrumentation and process control maintenance on equipment and systems including PLCs, RSLogix 5000 and 500, wireless networks, Allen-Bradley Stratix 8000 and Cisco switches, and the batch, metal-removing, and solid-liquid separation plants. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Able to read RSLogix ladder logic and function blocks.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC software and hardware.
• Able to connect to, download, and upload RSLogix 5000 and 500 programs.
• Experience with RSLogix 5000 and RSLogix 500.
• Experience creating PLC programs in RSLogix 5000 and 500 platforms.
• Proven safe work record.
• Willingness to work in a team-based maintenance organization.
• Strong dedication to safety and courageous leadership.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Modicon PLCs.
• Experience with PanelView software.
• Experience with PI.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining instruments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle/EAM.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrumentation process control maintenance duties on equipment, including PLCs, RSLogix 5000 and 500, wireless networks, Allen-Bradley Stratix 8000 and Cisco switches, and batch, metal-removing, and solid-liquid separation plants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
