About The Position

Perform the duties of the Helper classification including pulling cable into the manhole/duct system and cleaning manholes and vaults. The person filling this position must be self-motivated, work well with others, and possess a positive attitude and commitment to work safely, provide quality customer service, create customer satisfaction and to work productively. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must meet driver qualification requirements as specified in FMCSR parts 382 and 391 including the possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Must be committed to working safely; take responsibility for you and your coworkers' safety
  • Must be committed to quality work and customer service
  • Must work well with others and exhibit teamwork attitude
  • Must exhibit good communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with underground manholes and ducts
  • Ability to pass color perception test
  • Ability to be respirator qualified and confined space trained
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
  • Physically capable of performing the requirements of the classification such as climbing, shoveling, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.
  • Willing to respond to after-hours and weekend call outs
  • Willing to attend new or updated training, as required
  • Position is subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements
