About The Position

Martin Marietta is currently looking for an Underground Heavy Equipment Operator at the underground mine and surface operations in Randolph, Missouri. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant. The facility supplies crushed stone and other aggregate products to contractors, municipalities, and producers across the Kansas City metropolitan area. Strategically positioned with both truck and rail access, the Randolph Mine supports regional infrastructure projects, road construction, and commercial development, making it a cornerstone of Martin Marietta’s Missouri Valley District operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid driver's license
1 + years related experience
Valid US driver's license
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of MSHA regulations
Effective verbal communication
Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching with hands and arms, and handling materials

Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred

Responsibilities

Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
Inspect equipment for signs of wear
Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
Work in a team environment
Clean work areas
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Proper wear of personal protective equipment
Notify supervisors of repairs needed
Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
Perform duties with minimum supervision
