About The Position

Martin Marietta is seeking a Night Shift Underground Heavy Equipment Operator for its underground mine and surface operations in Randolph, Missouri. This role involves safely operating heavy equipment to move materials within the plant. The Randolph Mine is a significant underground limestone operation that supplies crushed stone and aggregate products to contractors, municipalities, and producers across the Kansas City metropolitan area. With both truck and rail access, the facility supports regional infrastructure projects, road construction, and commercial development, making it a key part of Martin Marietta’s Missouri Valley District operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid driver's license
1 + years related experience
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of MSHA regulations
Effective verbal communication
Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
Flexibility and adaptability to evolving job demands are essential

Nice To Haves

Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred

Responsibilities

Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
Inspect equipment for signs of wear
Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
Work in a team environment
Clean work areas
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Proper wear of personal protective equipment
Notify supervisors of repairs needed
Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
Perform duties with minimum supervision
Take on other tasks and assignments as required, including but not limited to duties outside the typical scope of the role to support overall team operations and organizational needs
