About The Position

Rocky Mountain Electric (RME) is seeking a hardworking and dependable Underground Laborer to support their electrical construction crews. This role assists with the installation of underground electrical systems, including trenching, conduit placement, and site preparation. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, willing to learn, and comfortable working in physically demanding outdoor environments. RME is a second-generation, family-owned electrical contracting firm based in Boise, Idaho, with a branch in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since 1978 RME has set the standard for electrical construction, electrical service and maintenance. Requirements

Mechanically inclined
Strong work ethic
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructions, especially under pressure
Ability to work to strict deadlines
A positive outlook and a willingness to learn
Capacity to provide and follow direction
Ability to work extended hours, as required
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

Dig trenches or hole for installation of conduit or supports, hand holes, man holes and foundations
Transport tools, materials, equipment and supplies to work site by hand truck, or heavy motorized truck
Maintain tools and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order
Clean and prepare jobsites
Follow instruction from supervisor and implement construction plans
Assist skilled tradesman with their duties
Work closely with operator to pot holes and spot for existing utilities
