APS Bank is offering opportunities to students in tertiary education to complete a Work Placement in various areas of its business. A Work Placement is a short-term work engagement with the Bank, which will contribute towards enhancing a student’s future employment prospects. The Bank’s Undergraduate Work Placement Programme is structured to provide a valid work experience and to encourage ongoing development. They are structured around exposure to different business areas with the main objective of broadening knowledge, developing skills, gaining experience and helping you determine which area of business you would like to work in the longer term. A period of relevant work, during or after your studies, has a number of benefits, including: enhancing your future employment prospects; being able to apply the theory and practice gained during your academic studies in a real-life working context, appreciating the relevance of your studies; developing your inter/intra personal skills and awareness of organisation culture; assistance with your final year of study; and the possibility of a longer term engagement with the Bank.
