About The Position
Undergraduate writing tutors assist students across campus via individual appointments at the Rose Hill and/or Lincoln Center Writing locations. Undergraduate writing tutors collaborate with students to provide feedback on all stages of the writing process, including brainstorming, revising, proofreading, and idea development.
Requirements
- Assist students across campus via individual appointments
- Provide feedback on all stages of the writing process, including brainstorming, revising, proofreading, and idea development
Responsibilities
- Meets with writers in 45-minute appointment blocks at the Rose Hill location of the Writing Center
- Collaborates with fellow staff members to develop campus-wide writing support initiatives, including developing workshops for the campus community
- Participates in outreach initiatives, including facilitating informational presentations about the Writing Center
- Develops on-going training and professional development materials
- Attends monthly staff meetings
