About The Position
A research position is available for the Academic Year, 2026-27 in Dr. Amirfakhri’s research group. This position provides valuable hands-on research experience for students interested in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, water treatment, and laboratory research. Students may also have opportunities to present research findings at scientific conferences during the academic year.

- Currently enrolled as a student at any of the Universities of Wisconsin

Responsibilities
- Research on destructive methods for PFAS removal
- Catalyst synthesis and characterization
- PFAS removal and treatment experiments
- Setting up and operating a continuous filtration system
- Assisting with the assembly and operation of a tubular furnace
- Data analysis and laboratory documentation
- Assisting with the preparation of scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
Benefits
- Compensation: $17/hour
