About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for University of North Dakota (UND) students. The role involves working on campus in Upson I 105b, utilizing acoustic levitation to produce atmospheric ice crystals, and improving existing instruments to release these crystals into a shock tube for aerodynamic condition exploration. The assistant will report to Dr. Chelmo, adhere to lab safety rules, and maintain professional conduct.

Requirements

  • Must be a UND student.
  • Satisfactorily completed ME 306, ME 341, and ME 474.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.
  • Verify identity and eligibility to work in the US.
  • Complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Work on campus in Upson I 105b.
  • Utilize acoustic levitation to produce atmospheric ice crystals.
  • Improve existing instruments to release the ice crystals into a shock tube to explore various aerodynamic conditions.
