The research team seeks an Undergraduate Research Assistant to support Queer Code Studio in the Department of Learning and Performance Systems, working across projects in LGBTQ+ virtual reality, critical AI ethics, and sociocultural learning. The first project involves the design of virtual reality worlds for learning about LGBTQ+ history and culture and is in development. The second project focuses on critical AI and sociotechnical learning with youth and is in the early stages of literature review. The undergraduate assistant will work with Dr. Dylan Paré and graduate researchers to curate LGBTQ+ digital heritage materials, support interactive and immersive design (development experience is not required), and organize qualitative research data and literature.
