Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship or co-op
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of this program.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on Chemistry Lab experience and passion
  • Chromatography and Spectrometry Knowledge and Theoretical Understanding
  • Synthetic/Organic Chemistry Knowledge
  • Python/MATLAB and AI/machine-learning familiarity
  • Basic biochemistry/peptide knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Help develop new analytical methods for late phase drug substances and drug products.
  • Work closely with a team of analytical chemists and organic chemists, responsible for the technical aspects of developing the analytical tools to gain understanding of key quality attributes in product and process for late phase synthetic programs.
  • Advance capabilities in automated software solutions (integrating AI and predictive modelling) that help streamline data interpretation.
  • Enable development of robust data packages for submission to agencies to advance therapies through our Amgen pipeline.
  • Help make data more consumable and accessible through automated software improvements and other digital tools.
