About The Position

The Undergraduate (UG) Admissions Student Office Assistant supports the daily operations of UG Admissions by serving as the first point of contact for prospective students, visitors, and campus partners. This role provides front-office coverage for our lobby, manages incoming phone calls, and assists with administrative tasks to ensure an efficient admissions experience.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time student at Florida Gulf Coast University, at the time of hire and throughout the appointment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with email, phone systems, and basic office software.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior customer service or administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, applicants and campus guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls, provide general information, and take accurate messages.
  • Respond to basic inquiries about UG Programs, application processes and office procedures.
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, document preparation, and other administrative tasks.
  • Support admissions events, including information sessions and campus visits.
  • Collaborate with admissions staff to ensure smooth daily operations and timely communication.
