About The Position
Student will be a research assistant on a project by Jefferson’s Smart Cities initiative. This role involves developing the methodology for soil and herb sample collection from various urban gardens in Philadelphia, collection of samples from urban gardens, preparation (e.g., dehydration, homogenization) of samples for chemical analysis, delivery of samples to a contract lab at Drexel University, participating in some of the analysis of samples with the contract lab, and data analysis, visualization, and interpretation.
